To begin, please confirm the version of the current firmware of the device, the firmware for this update should start with 17.18.xxxx.

You can find your firmware version either in the sVMS2000 software under Device Config:

Or you can find the firmware version in the web interface under the Upgrade Tab:

To update to the newest firmware you will need to install all previous versions before updating to the newest version.

For example, If your current firmware is 17.18.21.1 then you will need to upgrade to 17.18.1.23 then upgrade to 17.18.1.28 then upgrade to 17.18.1.40.

You will not be able to upgrade to the newest firmware without updating your device with the previous updates prior to the newest update.

Once you have determined your firmware, download the file from the drop box link. Next double click on the file as shown below:

It will then ask if you would like to run this file, select yes to open the file extractor and click unzip.

Once unzipped, you should now be seeing the folder that contains the upgrade file as so:

Next open the file and follow these instructions to complete the upgrade:

You will need to do these next steps in the accompanying sVMS2000 software, if you have not downloaded this software please do so at the following link: https://www.kjbsecurity.com/files/1813/sVMS2000_3.0.0.76.exe

1) Open the software application sVMS2000

2) In sVMS2000 on the Main Page click the Device Configuration icon

3) Double-click on your device in the Device List column to select it

4) Click the Upgrade button on the right side of the window

5) In the new window click the Select File button then browse to the location of the firmware folder

6) Select the file upgrade.xml then click the Open button

7) In the sVMS2000 software click the Upgrade button to start the firmware upgrade process

DO NOT CLOSE THE UPGRADE WINDOW UNTIL THE TMT2 UPGRADE HAS COMPLETED

While the TMT2 firmware upgrade is in process it is critical that you DO NOT remove the power supply from the TMT2 device.

Once the upgrade process has completed the TMT2 device will automatically reboot, AFTER the device has completely rebooted you can then close the Upgrade window in the sVMS2000

*****************************************************

NOTE: If the upgrade does not complete successfully, in step #6 use the file named upgrade-1.xml

Again, you will need to do this process for each firmware update that is needed before you can install the latest firmware
